At Vital Limits we understand that some people purchase custom arrows, factory arrows and that some like to build their own arrows.
Vital Limits has put together some of the component options in what we use to offer to the “do it yourself builder” that will give an edge above your typical factory standard parts.

Please note whatever instruction you see on this page is what we are limiting to. You are the arrow builder. However , if, you decided to spine locate, square, test , cull etc. arrows components that will be according to whatever method you chose. As of right now we will not be offering glue for vanes or inserts.
If you are not sure how to do some or all of the aforementioned we recommend seeing one of Vital Limits arrow build pages and seletecing an arrow build option from there for Vital Limits to build for you.
That being said please see below options in what we believe to be some on the best arrow components on the current market.
Before you get to the shafts know this first; Vital Limits arrow builds use a inserts with a 45% taper thus, we use a chamfer tool to chamfer end of shaft with prior to installing insert. the 45% taper makes for a stronger connection than your typical 90% shoulder insert. It also helps align the insert to shaft with greater accuracy. You will need this tool, unless you already have one.
Once you purchase the tool you can use it for many, many arrows. It is very simply and quick to use too.

Firenock Aero Vane (AV2) is our most popular vane option for both overall field-point and broad head use should you try to fletch with these. Best application is to install that straight fletch. However if your vane jig is limited or you prefer helical then I suggest minor off set of vane should you decide to try using AV2.
